Norma Prieto

Mrs. Prieto, has more than 20 years of experience in the area of Accounting, Auditing and Taxes. Mrs. Prieto began her professional career in Mexico as an external auditor in one of the “Big Four” international accounting firms, developing her skills in reviewing, analyzing and interpreting Financial Statements, as well as budgets and internal controls of several multi-national companies. She later had the opportunity to lead the financial and tax information department for a major international food company, where she could apply her vast knowledge of auditing, finance and accounting in the regional offices throughout the Americas. Thanks to her achievements and performance in 2002, Mrs. Prieto was chosen to be part of the team for the opening a U.S. subsidiary company. Very soon she was promoted to Corporate Comptroller, being directly responsible for all areas of Accounting, Tax and Administration in the U.S. including 15 distribution centers which included California, Texas, Arizona and Illinois among others. The company quickly expended from zero sales in 2003 to total sales exceeding USD $1 Billion in 2012 and operations in 25 states and growing. During these years, Mrs. Prieto had the chance to work in teams and joint ventures with other professionals from international consulting companies of world-wide prestige such as Price Waterhouse Cooper. Mrs. Prieto maintained close contact and monitoring of its local and international offices in relation to diverse accounting and tax matters. The result has been a broader and more complete vision, knowledge and application of different regulations and laws in both Mexico and the United States. In 2012, she began a new career with Christian Larsen, with whom she had maintained a professional relationship in the tax area for a period of more than 8 years. At this stage Mrs. Prieto had the opportunity to prepare different types of tax returns for Corporations, Partnerships and individuals, both domestic and foreign. In addition, Mrs. Prieto provided “Controller services” to client companies. This contributed to the development of new clients and growth of existing clients. A joint decision was made in 2016 to establish a partnership with Mr. Christian Larsen, forming the company ACL Business & Tax Consulting, LLC. At present, Mrs. Prieto’s experience and knowledge of the accounting and fiscal areas of Mexico and the US represent an attribute of great value and importance for clients, mainly those who have bilateral investments in both countries.
